I designed promotional graphics for Doghead Simulations' summer sale. This was marketed across multiple media platforms.
Doghead Simulations
The founders of Doghead Simulations are avid dog lovers. The mascot and logo of the company is one of the founder's dog who is a terrier mix called Mr. Anderson Pooper! It was important to showcase all of the dogs that made up Doghead Simulations family. I designed different breeds of dogs that will pan across the screen and stop on the signature VR headset. The supporting copy was designed by hand in photoshop using a specific paintbrush to give it a laid back and imperfect feel. I used aquamarine blues and juxtaposed it with its complementary color, yellow-orange to provide interest and contrast. This color combination is indicative of hot summer days by the pool.
Timeline and deliverables
All assets needed to be submitted within 24 hours as this was a last minute promotion to market summer sales. I worked with our Chief Marketing Officer to gather requirements, storyboard ideas, and execute on the final decision. Deliverables included a banner, 1:1 social media tiles, and a video to be played on loop. Files were provided in .mp4, .png, as well as the original Adobe Photoshop, AfterEffects, and Illustrator files.
Workflows
I designed all assets using Adobe Creative cloud and was able to optimize my workflow using dynamic link. All visual assets were created in Adobe Photoshop. The company and product logos were brought in with Adobe Illustrator. All assets were brought into Adobe After Effects to composite the assets with visual effects. The water caustics effect was created in Adobe After effects to replicate moving water that is shining in the sun. This was done by using a combination of turbulent displacement, fractal noise, and several matte layers. This was also applied to the freehand type element to give the illusion that it was sitting just under the water.
